More Rally Fun

Image
Yesterday we had the opportunity to tour Jekyll and St. Simon’s Isle. We took a boat ride out into the water of the rivers basin (4 rivers) and we saw a pod of dolphins with their young. The large crane out in the waterway was cutting up and removing the last part of a huge cargo ship that hat sunk two years ago.  We ate lunch off Main Street on Jekyll Island, Sunrise Cafe. It was all we could find that had seafood and was open. Not disappointed. Dennis had fresh caught red drum and I had freshly made crab cakes. Today we are having classes on tires, transmissions, engine and tank cleaning. Still bonding with others and enjoying the comradory. New friends. A lot of laughter over our different RV experiences. Hope we meet up again.

Freightliner Rally Brunswick, GA

Our trip down to Brunswick included a Harvest Host winery and a real nice RV park in Calhoun, TN. Easy weekend driving for the most part.  Once at Coastal RV park, Brunswick, we met several fellow travelers from all over the US. All good sharing of stories and experiences. Us full timers are few, but many are getting ready to go that way.

Good Ol’ Indiana

We spent almost a month in Indianapolis and Lafayette Indiana. Visiting family; Dennis’s sister and brother and their family. We listened to Chance play Irish music, Char played along at Nine Brothers with a mixed group of musicians, and Dennis swam laps in the mornings with his brother. We even went to a community theater for a production of Murder On Orient Express. Our cat joy visited the Vet twice because one she wasn’t eating (got that fixed) and two she has an infected toe that needs amputation (that will be taken care of in Florida). In addition Dennis and I changed out the toilet parts. We are becoming quite handy. We plan on learning more at our next stop.
