Coco Cay

Image
Today was a peaceful day at the beach. Sat in the sun. Swam in the ocean. Read our books. Waded in the infinity pool. Had a spectacular lunch at the Coco Beach club. Gained just enough sun to revive our tans.  Other swimmers found star fish and jelly fish.  The beach was basically empty since we were only one ship and only filled to 1/3 capacity.  The sea gulls liked to drink from the pool and there were heron out on the sand bars.   Back aboard we packed up our bags for tomorrow’s departure. Now sitting on the deck watching the beautiful blue waters. Dinner tonight at Chops. A steak/beef restaurant. I’m sure I will find something to eat. 😎😊 Met a new server, Junela from the Philippines.  Quite a nice ending to a relaxing trip.

Nassau rum run

We wandered via taxi today. Many took us to our favorite distillery, Watkins.  They have a new rum that has been aged 4 years. We made sure we sampled before purchasing.  Sprinkled a little bit but then nice and sunny.  I bought 50 cent stamps and mailed my post cards then back to the ship. Dinner on Central Park, 150. A very nice Mediterranean meal.  Ending the night with Air, Wind, and Fire performance from the Allure orchestra.

Cruising day

So relaxed!! Looked at booking future cruises, watched a performance of Mama Mia, and enjoying another Brazilian dinner.

Hot day in Costa Maya

We ventured out to the port shops here as well. No purchases. We recalled memories of being here before. Chris and I climbed the tower in town and watched some fantastical aerialist spin and climb a tall pole. I remembered there were civilians dressed in traditional Mayan costumes to great us  Not this time😞 Liberty of the Seas docked next to us. Two ships in port and still not crowded.   The town was hot and humid. We came back and put our suits on to maybe step in a pool. Believe it or not it was too hot on board. Dennis lead us to an indoor lounge to cool off with AC.  Dinner was a Japanese hibachi grill. Of course a comedian for our chef.  Good food, we are all stuffed.

Cozumel

Sprinkles in the morning. We only toured the port shops. The hackers were active and floors wet and slippery.  Shopping done for now   Back on ship we relaxed. It feels so good to read and rest. Leaving port during sunset. Dinner was an experience with an excellent server. There are going to be a lot of compliments on our survey this time.
