March 25 Heading to Georgia

We packed up and closed up and were on our way by 10:45 am. Got to say good bye to our friend Roger before he went to work and just as it was beginning to sprinkle. Garmin sent us on the back roads and through some small towns. Highway 76 ( I think) was all torn up for resurfacing and gave us quite a bumpy ride not to mention we had a constant tapping sound coming from somewhere. We still haven’t figured that out.

The nice views were from the Sumter National forest  it is quiet large.

The more we drove up and down hills and inclines the more it rained. I’m glad Dennis is such a good driver. When we finally arrive at our campground in Dillard Georgia it was pouring and thunder and lightening were starting. Dennis got soaked just going into the office. Not to mention our site was a flowing stream from one site to another. Dennis managed to unhook the car and plug in the electricity when the storm slowed. I could not believe how long and how hard the rain was ...Joy was not thrilled by it either. She was on my lap or near me most of the night. Looking forward to a sunny day tomorrow
